Recognizing that people with disabilities prefer to seek assistance from community agencies, the Social Security Administration provides funding to CRI for implementing SSA's Ticket to Work and Work Incentive Improvement Act.

CRI's Back to Work Project provides guidance and assistance to SSDI and SSI beneficiaries in the following areas:

Availability and interrelation of any Federal or State work incentives programs in which individuals may be eligible to participate
Adequacy of health benefits coverage offered by the individual's employer and the extent to which other health benefits coverage may be available
Availability of Protection and Advocacy services and how to access them

This program enhances the range of choices available to SSDI and SSI beneficiaries seeking employment services, vocational rehabilitation, and other support services to obtain, regain or maintain self-supporting employment.
