Excerpt from the Smithsonian National Museum of Disability Rights and American Culture CRI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers a wide variety of ways that enable individuals or corporations to contribute to our efforts to advocate for and serve people with disabilities in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino and Lake counties. This annual event is CRI's premier fund raising effort each year, and enjoys major sponsorship by corporate entities and individuals alike, including Kirkpatrick & Lockhart LLP, Bob Gilchrist, Mr. & Mrs. James G. Laier Jr., Provencher & Flatt LLP, Crosscheck, Inc., and Biagi Bros. Equally as important, dozens of individuals participate on planning committees, day-of-event volunteering, and all the other tasks involved in producing a major event. Examples include the Community Smart Card, Simon Night of Giving, and promotions with local businesses such as Borolo's Original Pizza and the Rialto Theater. Often they have received CRI services themselves, or have friends or family members whose experiences at CRI resonate with them. Volunteers receive the satisfaction of helping others in a hands-on environment, and our staff will endeavor to tailor your assignments to best suit your interests and talents.
